Highlights Of Zoo Melaka
Night Safari
Make full use of the open-concept zoo and watch the nocturnal animals in action on the night safari. Observe over 450 species of animals in their natural habitat in the day and night to learn more about their habits and lifestyle.
Elephant Feeding
During the weekends and on public holidays, get a chance to connect with and feed the elephants between the hours of 11.30 am - 2.30 pm. The feeding sessions are taken under zookeeper supervision and are kid-friendly as well.
Keeper Talks
Get a chance to interact with the person who knows the ins and outs of the habits of zoo animals. The zookeeper talks are conducted every weekend and on public holidays at 12 pm at Tiger Eye. Learn everything there is to know and get your questions answered in this interactive session.
Animal Performances
The zoo conducts two bird shows on weekdays, one at 11 am and the other at 3.30 pm. You can also catch the show if you are visiting over the weekend. Choose between three time slots at 11 am, 2 pm and 4 pm.
Adopt An Animal
To keep you more connected to the animals in the zoo, Melaka has also introduced an adoption package. By donating a minimum of RM 50, you can adopt one of the animals in the zoo and support the zoo’s conservation efforts.
Tram Ride
The zoo spans over 54-acres and it can get tiring to explore the whole thing on foot. Opt for the tram ride that will take you across the zoo faster and more comfortably to explore every area! The last tram ride is at 5 pm.
Dining
Exploring the entire zoo is a daunting task, so make a pitstop for refreshments. The zoo has restaurants located all around the zoo premises, serving local and international cuisine. The zoo also has an ice-cream kiosk to cool off!
